thumb wars

Bill is continuing to have another good day. He has been drifting in and out of sleep most of the day but is able to engage in conversation when prompted.

His sister Ruth stayed the night last night and reports he behaved himself. He slept the majority of the night and deducted that if she wasn't his wife, she must be his sister.

Ruth and Grandma Gezon stopped by a little while ago and he woke up right away when they entered. He had no confusion about who everyone was and was happy to see them again. At this point, he downed a cup of that money-making Jell-o but made no mention of future investments. Next, grabbing my hand, we engaged in a series of thumb wars in which he won. Although hes been in bed for nearly a week, hes still got some ridiculously strong thumbs.

Tonight his brother Dave and wife Nance plan to stay the night. We plan to continue with the rest and lumbar drain until Monday when we will determine if this course of action is successful.
