cisternogram on hold

This has been the day of changed plans -- the ENT physician had initially wanted to get the cisternogram this afternoon, but after talking with the neurosurgeon, it was decided that this test should be postponed. In order to do the test, the lumbar drain would have needed to be capped for 24 hours, and the neurosurgeon thought that Bill would not tolerate it. So we will currently wait for the air around the brain to absorb, get a repeat CT scan to confirm, and then then possibly transfer to U of M.

The infectious disease team added an antifungal medication (voriconazole) in addition to the vancomycin and meropenem that he is already on because his white blood cell count has been rising (this can be caused by infection).
