A Really, Really Good Day

The MRI report did not show any new concerns or surprises which was GREAT news. They were concerned about some persistent right sided facial drooping as well as some indications on the CT scan that might've meant that the frontal lobe sustained more damage than they had thought. There was nothing in the MRI to confirm any permanent damage. So they let him be up in a chair as tolerated and he did well for a couple of hours. During that time, he fed himself and pretty much kept his eyes open which everyone thought was amazing - we had staff stopping in just to take a look! His body did not tolerate longer than 2 hours, but it's a wonderful start after having been through so much. We'd like to believe that he will make it out of the ICU in the next few days.

Hoping for no more drama and grateful for this day, Nancy
