gracefully deflated

Surgery went well and we're now waiting for Dad's return from recovery. The doctors monitored the insertion of the catheter and progress of the procedure using an ultrasound. Upon insertion, a good amount of air and CSF were released; enough that the size of both ventricles visibly decreased. Enough progress was made with the insertion of the first catheter that the doctors felt a second one wasn't needed. We're not sure how long the tube will be in place....but it's quite a fashion statement.
