Today's CT scan showed no air at all and the ventricles are continuing to shrink. Everyone feels that this particular challenge for Bill is over!! I left him a few minutes ago sitting in his new bed on the general floor and looking quite robust! (and picking at his staples!) It felt like I left my family in the ICU, but know what a great step this is for Bill. Now his body has to learn how to get up and sit in a chair without his blood pressure going bust, then PT can get more aggressive. He's definitely had more alert times today and he has a more animated look to him - some of the old Bill is back! We're thankful that today's direction was positive and am looking forward to more days of rest and hard work to recuperate.
Love to all, Nancy
