muffin luck

A cancellation in the OR this morning due to the patient eating a muffin (eating before surgery is apparently a bad thing) opened up a spot for Dad. He's currently in surgery. They anticipate that the procedure will take approximately 2 hours. After the 'tubes' are in place, draining the air may take some trial and error over the next couple days. Please pray that the doctors determine the best position, etc for the air to be released. Also, please pray that Mom finally gets some sleep. We are extremely grateful for everyone's love, concern, and prayers.

  1. Thanks, Lisa, for the information. This blog is checked numerous times a day. It helps me feel connected even though I'm far away. I let mom and Dave and Bob know he's in surgery and we are all praying - hard. We are also praying for all of you - that you can rest and be comforted. Keep us posted. Love, Ruth

  2. We both check for new information morning, noon and night (and several times in between). We are thankful for your updates. We're praying for Bill's surgery this morning. In fact I think we both pray for Bill constantly. Please know that all of you are in our hearts. Love, Gary & Nancy Brezinski
